Where is find friends in iPhone 11

Find My Friends and Find iPhone apps have been combined into a single app called Find My

Hi, Giulio. Yes, it's what I mentioned before but will try to summarize below:

• Go into Settings > Your Name > Ensure that "Find My" is listed below
• If "Find My" is found, click on it to ensure that "Find My iPhone" is on
• If "Find My" is there, but you cannot find it on your iPhone:
  • Go to your Widget page (from home screen swipe right)
  • Up at the top of your Widget page is Spotlight/a search bar: Enter "Find My"
  • (Alt: Ask Siri to "Open Find My")
• If "Find My" pops up, it's more than likely on your iPhone...search every folder you have to find it (I had actually put it in a folder where it had no reason for being...operator error, to be sure)
• If you cannot find "Find My," you'll have to first backup to iCloud (extremely important), then fully erase your iPhone and, finally, restore your content from you iCloud backup. It is very important that you do NOT restore from an iTunes backup/one you have made on your computer.

Look for the app in the green box box in my screenshot. That is the Find My app.

Spoke to Apple Support...

Somehow, I must have deleted the Find My app when I started up this phone from my encrypted iPhone XS back-up.

Can get to Find My via Spotlight on the Widgets page but, alas, still no "physical" app...can only get that back by bricking and restoring from something other than a back-up.

Thank you for your comments/questions, and your English is beautiful.

To clarify:

• Backup the iPhone 11 to iCloud
• Fully erase iPhone 11
• Restore the iPhone 11 from iCloud

The reason to backup and restore the iPhone 11 from iCloud rather than an iTunes backup is that an iTunes backup would likely not have "Find My..." on it if one could not find it on their iPhone.

I think that you are correct in assuming that the app is not available because you restore the iPhone backup. Take a look at the end of this article.

I do not have this app on my 11 Pro(!). I am guessing this is because I restored this phone from my last XS back up.

Went into Privacy, Location Services, etc., and am all set for sharing with my family, as before, but no "Find My" app.

Cannot find it on the App Store to download.

Any thoughts?

Backup to iCloud: are you talking about your 11 or about your XS?

Fully erase your iPhone: 11? then restore from XS's iCloud backup onto your 11?
