Screen doesn’t work as as expected

Hi, I’m using screen time on my iphone after I updated it to iOS 13. But it doesn’t ask for the password I have set when I turn Downtime ON. Also, if when I need to use Safari, it shows up this screen with no option to ignore it-

It see this option when I tap the ‘Tabs’ button-

Neither can I tap this nor can I turn Safari off from app limits.

How do I fix these issues?

Hello sappiepal!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. I understand that you’d like to be able to use Safari during Downtime. If this is correct, you’ll need to go to the Screen Time settings and select Safari under the Always Allowed section. Check out this article for more information: Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Cheers!

Hi sappiepal,

Since Safari is not one in the list of Always Allow, let’s check what’s happening with the Screen Time Passcode.

When you go to Settings > Screen Time check and see if you have the option to Use Screen Time Passcode. If that’s the option showing you’ll need to enter your Screen Time Passcode again. If it says Change Screen Time Passcode, then try entering a new Passcode, and test it out to see if there is any change.

Hope that helps.
