Inner Camera Lens Broken

Hello all,

My mom has an iPhone XR that is still covered under warranty and she is having an issue. She went on a vacation to Mexico and went to go snap a picture to be rudely greeted by a broken inner broken camera lens. Her phone is in pristine condition as you can see from the pictures I have attached. Is this covered under any warranty at all?Id like to know before I go and file an insurance claim with my carrier.
