Can we play 1080p and more resolution video in iPhone XR?

Don't believe what some people say.
Just test for yourself and see.
But some people are saying, it will play only 720p. If we play 1080p video it will downscale to 828p. Is it true?.
In spec it's mentioned, we can record 4k video. That's true?

It will be downscaled to 828p because the Xr‘s resolution is 1792x828. But you can view 1080p, 1440p or even 4K videos or the Xr. Of course. The display looks very good for a LCD and a number on a spec sheet doesn’t really matter. Day-to-Day usability matters more.
The rear facing camera can record 720p@30fps, 1080p@30/60/120/240fps or 4K at 24/30/60fps. Front camera can do 1080p@60fps.
