my iphone is lost and i tried to look it through icloud but my device does'nt show up on the list

why does this happen?

can i make it appear??

Are you sure Find My Phone was enabled on the phone? Not having that enabled is the usual reason it won't show. Are you using the same Apple ID in Find My Phone that you used on the phone?
