I have the apple watch version 4 or what eve the newest one is, and it keeps asking me for my apple ID even if I just put it in. I went into settings and there is no option to enter my password to reset. How do I fix this?

I am having the same issue, I just updated my series 2 to 6.1. I only have one apple account so that is not the issue. I can hit cancel and it will stop for a few hours but if I go to my phone I can see that I am signed in with the apple watch with my correct account but it will not let me re-sign in or sign out and back in. There are just no option that I can see

hello everyone, I believe I have found answer to this problem. If you go to your watch app on your phone and scroll all the way to the bottom, there might be an app that says "install" and every time you press it, it would ask for your Apple ID password on your watch and we all know that isn't working. So what you are going to want to do it physically delete the app, that is asking to be install in the watch app, off your phone and restart (Not reset) your phone and watch and after doing so, re-download the app on your phone under the iCloud that you want it to be under and that should resolve the problem. Hope this was helpful!! good luck!

I’ve had this issue and was ready to take a hammer to it. I have an iCloud, Comcast, and Gmail account. Watch kept asking me for my gmail.com password since I updated to watchOS 6.1. After a couple of weeks I put in my password on the watch, went over to my iPhone: settings>tapped my name on top>password & security> Get Verification code. This code is then entered on the watch after it asks for a code. Success!

Along with the others, I have the same issue.

i went to see an Apple Genius who had no other suggestion than to unpair and then re pair the watch to the phone.

Didnt work.....

I have tried all other suggestions listed to date and they have failed also.

Solution, walk to your nearest river or large body of water and toss it in. It may sound a little drastic but after the initial remorse we can all just move on.

THIS WORKED FOR ME: After literally a month and a half of stress and never being able to see what time it is, here it is:

Step 1: Put in your password on the watch - if the keyboard does not work, you will have to draw the letters.

Step 2: Go to your iPhone: settings>tapped my name on top>password & security> Get Verification code.

Step 3: This six digit code is then entered on the watch after it asks for a code. Success

OMG THANK YOU HELLSBELLES! This answer worked for me. I don't have another ios device to log in with other account (to receive the code for the ID the watch wants). This solution worked for me. Two weeks of solid frustration solved in 30 seconds. THANK YOU!

No. Like others here, I have two accounts. Originally, I didn't want to use my @me.com address in case the account was compromised. Now I can't delete the second account.

I've tried most of the solutions proposed here. Deleted everything and set up Watch again. Finally was able to see the codes on my phone. But I got an error message on the Watch after entering.

I've been busy. So I can put up with two alerts every time my Watch connects to the phone. But it's annoying. Perhaps I should get cellular service for the Watch.

Thanks for your help!

Hey there. I too love to sew. Now go do the following and get back to sewing:
