Apple Watch
I have the apple watch version 4 or what eve the newest one is, and it keeps asking me for my apple ID even if I just put it in. I went into settings and there is no option to enter my password to reset. How do I fix this?
This is my problem exactly and although I’ve mentioned it numerous times, nothing seems to work. I have only one Apple ID. I’ve tried a hard reset and even un pairing and nothing seems to work.
its frustrating beyond words. If someone has an idea I’d greatly appreciate it...
On your phone go into your profile page and sign out at the bottom of the
screen then sign back in again. This should pass the signed in info to the
watch and hopefully stop asking for your password.
Or;
Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
Tap General, then tap Apple ID.
Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
If prompted, enter the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device
or phone number and complete sign in."
Same, incredibly annoying! Tried many ways, I shouldn’t have to sign into my account to where my watch. Looks like the real solution for me is to get a hammer and smash it into little bits and put my Movado back on.
Mine as well. TILL.... Go thru the 'Settings' on the watch and Update the watchOS. It's the usual, 50% charged and watch on it's charger, and iPhone nearby with its iOS up to date. Found the answer in the Apple Support.
Hope this helps all of you.
My watch keeps asking for my husband's apple id. He hasn't used it in years, no longer has the email address so there is no way to log in and out of that ID. I am going to try the two hours on Apple support because my watch is fast becoming useless. I have to cancel out multiple requests 8 times or more per day. I am so annoyed and frustrated. What happened to Apple? It used to be so user friendly and now is anything but.
I seem to have fixed this problem on my watch. For me it was an app that hadn’t finished installing. The website I consulted had several options to try.

Do take a look. It says iPhone in the link but in my case it was my watch that had the problem.
QUICK SOLUTION!
My girlfriend’s watch has been doing this and driving her crazy. Found out she used to share an Apple ID with her family, she has since made her own. Because of this, a few of her older apps were downloaded on her family’s Apple ID while a majority of them were downloaded with hers (the id the watch and phone are logged into). We narrowed down which apps she downloaded on her family’s account, removed them from the watch and re-installed them with her account. This allows you to stay logged into your Apple ID the entire time. Voila, no more annoying message!
Prior to the last update, my watch suddenly started asking for a Apple ID password for an account that isn't even linked to my Apple ID (it is my husbands). The only potential reason is that perhaps we shared music in the past. I have had this watch for years, and this has only just occurred in the past few months. Apple has blamed it on my husband changing his password (he hasn't) or me using apps purchased under his old ID (they're all deleted), or of course, that email still being linked to my account (it isn't). After an hour on the phone to Apple they had no fix other than suggesting I go through my iTunes song by song to work out if I had any songs that he had purchased under that ID (we're talking a catalogue of over 5000 songs). Now, since the last update over the weekend, I am getting a continuous loop of asking for my Apple ID which I have repeatedly inputted, and his ID. My watch battery lasts less than half a day as a result, and I can't use it anyway due to the continual looping. This is the most stupid thing I've ever seen happen and there doesn't seem to be any way of fixing it. I'm at the point of selling my watch and other Apple gear as the support for this issue is atrocious.
Watch keeps asking for password, I think it said for cloud. Can’t figure out how to enter password without access to keyboard. Tried writing my password in but it was difficult...large case small case problem.
only way I got rid of these annoying messages was to disconnect my watch from the iPhone and to reconnect it and installing the apps one by one into the iWatch. Hope the next iWatchOS will not mess it up.
This is happening constantly on my watch and have not fixed it - its asking me to sign into an account thats not mine. I figured out I had music in my iTunes that was purchased by someone else. Deleted the music but it keep happening!
I have erased the watch and setup again but every 30 seconds I'm getting a request to sign in. After this is transfer to my phone.
HURRY UP APPLE AND FIX THIS! LOOK HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM.
My watch kept asking for the password without showing the keyboard as I requested on my watch. I pressed the keyboard on my watch and when it showed on my phone to enter the password I entered it on my iPhone. A rectangle appeared for me to enter the password. After that I was given a code to enter on my watch. After completing this task the pop up is no longer appearing on my watch.
I have a Series 3 watch and ever since WatchOS6 update (where you cash get can get an app directly on the watch) I have the same problem. I called Apple support on this back in November 2019 but at the time they said it should be fixed in an update. Several updates later and Apple still has not addressed this. I think it will take many of us calling support to let them know it has not been fixed!
All good answers I suppose My experience when I sign out ---- then try to sign in
Nothing will ever work right again
So just hit "Cancel" until your watch stops bugging you. 15 or 16 times is about right
I think I figured it out. Press the keyboard symbol and a message magically appeared on my iPad.(not my phone which is weird)
I pulled down on the dialogue box where the keyboard appeared, entered my password, hit enter and voila I was in.
btw this has been going on for several months!
