Siri not responding on my new macbook pro running mojave 10.14.6 (newest version)

I have always had trouble with siri not working on this macbook pro and its basically brand new and has all the upgrades one can get, yes it was very very very expensive lol. I will hit the siri button on the touchbar or the menu icon and she can hear me and then it just keeps 'thinking' for lack of a better term. she never responds to my questions, it just times out and she says "I am having trouble with your connection right now. Try again in a moment." I created another user on my laptop and tried it, and it worked completely fine! So this is just annoying. This has been going on and off the last 6 months, so it's not the updates OS, it has done this with almost all the OS I have ran since getting this macbook pro early 2019. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!! I already tried all of the obvious things and most the things on the internet. like network settings, enabling siri, enable siri to output responses, etc. It just is weird becuase it works on the new user account on my laptop but not the one I need it to work on! Thank you for all of your help!

Hi dnev1551,

It seems like you're having trouble with Siri on your Mac, and I want to help.

You did a great test by creating another user. That might indicate that there is a software conflict or issue on the your main user account that's having trouble with Siri.

Follow the steps here to test Siri in safe mode:

Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support

If Siri works well in safe mode, that might indicate that there is some software that is interfering with your Mac's network connection to Siri. You will want to remove or alter the configuration of any apps, proxies, or VPN settings that might be interfering with connectivity.

If Siri continues to not work in safe mode, that could indicate there's a software issue with the user account on your Mac. To resolve that we can try reinstalling macOS from Recovery. To reinstall macOS won't remove any of your data, however it's always a good idea to make sure you have a backup before taking steps to reconfigure your device. Here's what you can do to backup, and then reinstall macOS:

How to back up your Mac - Official Apple Support

How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery - Apple Support

Let me know if these steps help.
