my music stops in google chrome when i locked my screen

Yeap. I tested it. The problem starts when the screen is blocked after 30 seconds not using it with a player on. It happens since IOS 13 and it has the same inconvenient in every browser witch is not SAFARI. Safari goes on working but the rest, NO.

I was seeking about the IOS 13 version features and I'm sure is connected with something inside "PRIVACY" topics, but my English is not so good to find solutions yet.

I have exact the same problem, I have tried continue playing music in the background in different browsers, but it stops after a few seconds after going back to homescreen or locking my phone. This occures since I have updated my iPhone.

Does the same thing happen when you use Safari? Knowing this would help to narrow things down.

If it only happens in Chrome, you might double-check to make sure that Chrome is updated and that you've tried the troubleshooting in the link below:

I’m also having this very annoying issue and I called Apple and they were clueless to help.

I think it’s Apple’s way to force us to use Safari. You would expect that if they were going to make breaking changes, they would have given a heads up so the Chrome developers would be able to make the necessary changes on their end. But maybe they did and just couldn’t get it approved for the App Store. 😉

Exact same problem, I am thinking about quit using iPhone, but now I have decided. I can see that they just won’t fix this soon, and why they won’t.

Yes, moving out all my data from the cloud is a hassle, but it is worthwhile.

I noticed from time to time, Safari would quit streaming in the background. I fixed it by shutting all my Safari windows down and restarting. Just now I did the same thing with Chrome, and it is now streaming in the background. Problem fixed???

I have not been able to stream music from a browser since updating to IOS 13. Please fix this.

Safari works fine in this respect.

But both Chrome and Firefox have this issue.

i also have iOS 13. Just got an iPhone 7 two days ago and coming from Android, so no notion of previous behavior.

My iPhone updated last night to 13.3. Now my Chrome browser does not stream on the background or when locked. I tried Safari and it seems to work right. This is not a pleasant user experience.

I have the same issue. Very annoying. Is apple going to do anything about this?

Does Apple moderates these forums? Anyone from Apple planning to jump in here?

I’m trying to update my previous response. Chrome worked for a short time, but then quit working. So the problem is not fixed.
