How to disable the low battery warnings?

Has anyone been able to find a way to disable the low battery warnings that pop up at 20%, 10% and 5%? I found no way to disable them or change the type of notification. Apple support was unhelpful.

Lawrence Finch -- I was responding to the "charge more often" comment. What bothers me is the intrusive warning, which I would like to disable, but can't. I can do this with all other notifications, but not this one. Meaning it was intentionally designed this way. For what reason? Does it really have to pop up in the middle of my video recording and stop it? I don't think so.

Thank you. I know all of that. I just want to disable the warning or change the type of notification. I should be able to do so if my preference is to have the phone shut down on me instead of seeing these warnings first. My battery level is always displayed up on top of the screen. Instead of being interrupted 3 or more times before the battery dies, I'd rather not. I should be able to choose, but I can't. Thus my grief with this annoyance.

Best of luck.

Thank you.

Nothing else from my user experience with this (my first) iPhone so far made me think there's a chance my next phone won't be an iPhone.

I can't believe the designers of this feature at Apple didn't realize the frequency of these disruptive warnings would increase as the battery ages on older phones. If they didn't, I should have their job. If they did, it's designed to annoy.

My phone is not a nuclear reactor. It doesn't matter if it shuts down on me. Not to such an extent that I should have my conversations, video recording, video calls, etc, interrupted in a very user-unfriendly way for multiple useless battery level warnings that are completely unnecessary. Maybe once when it's really low, but even that should be optional.

My MacBook just quietly goes into sleep mode when the battery fully drains, while producing very user-friendly low battery warnings leading up to that. How hard would that be to do on iOS?

Anyway, enough said. Thanks, everyone, for the comments. Horrible user experience with this warning. I hope they change it.

So that you aren't unpleasantly surprised when your phone suddenly shuts off.

The fact that you don't like the way it works doesn't mean there's something nefarious about it.

You can let Apple know your thoughts of the matter here:

Product Feedback - Apple

Sure, but I do in fact prefer to have my phone just shut down. It actually very rarely happens, because I have the percentage always displayed at the top of the screen and I monitor it. I also could prefer a less intrusive warning or none at all, or choose at what percentage I want to see a warning. It's my phone, it should be my choice. And I do have control of all other notifications, but not this one. I submitted the feedback. I do appreciate all the responses.

You cannot change the warnings. Period. That is the answer to your original question, and asking over and over isn't going to change that. The only way is to use one of the alternate methods I have already posted.

You can let Apple know your view on this by going to https://apple.com/feedback. If they get enough similar requests from other users they may change it. But don't count on it, because I've never seen another post objecting to those specific warnings in 12 years.

Yes, it does have to pop up when the battery reaches 20%. There's no way to prevent that. That's also when the phone switches to low power mode, which will also affect your video recording. When the battery reaches 20% it will shut down soon after if you are doing something that requires a lot of energy, like video recording, especially if the battery is old.

Go to Settings/Battery and tap Battery Health. If it is near or below 80% get your battery replaced. $49 at any Apple Genius Bar or Best Buy, and they can usually do it while you wait. And fully charge the battery before you start recording, keep the phone plugged in, or get a battery powered charger such as one from Mophie, Anker or dozens of other manufacturers.
