Apple watch crown does not work

Hello, sorry for the re post I am providing more information. My apple watch crown turns but does not respond or do anything on the watch. I already tried putting warm water on the crown for 1 minute nothing happened. I recently fell in the water but it is water resistant and I got it out almost instantly. I am hoping I can find help here other wise send it to applecare+. Anyone have suggestions?
