I'm not sure what you mean by on or off, but if the computer is off line, Find My Phone won't be able to determine the location. It has to be on line to locate it. If it was on line before, it will show it's last locate for about 24 hours.
Thanks for your reply. I’m just trying to determine if I had Find My Mac turned on before it was stolen. When I go to Settings > Apple ID, iCloud and view a list of my devices my iPhone and iPad show they are on. My MacBook Pro shows Find my MacBook is off. Is that because it’s offline or because I didn’t set it up? When I go to iCloud > Open Find My IPhone > It also notes that my MacBook is offline. I keep checking and it’s never online. I set so It would lock and I would be notified when it goes online and added a message that the computer is stolen with my cell number. I don’t want to waste time or continue to be hopeful if I did something stupid and did not set up Find My MacBook. Thanks again
You are welcome. If it is showing at iCloud.com/Find My Phone using a computer browser, Find My Phone is turned on.
