iPhone 11 on iOS 13 having Bluetooth connectivity issues

New iPhone 11 on iOS 13 is having Bluetooth connectivity issues.

both my daughter and I are having the similar issues.

daughters phone is an 11 64GB Purple.

mine is an 11 128GB White

Hers gets connected to her 2018 Toyota C-HR and constantly drops out. Her iPhone 7 Plus never had any issues.

I have mine connected to a Boss BT module on my motorcycle. Never had any issues with my iPhone X.

neither of our other phones we’re running iOS 13.

I updated to 13.1.2 It looks like "MOST" of my issues have been fixed with this latest update. My 2012 Scion xB stock stereo is now not dropping or getting garbled calls. My iFrogz headphones are now staying connected when paused in Pandora.

The only remaining bug(s) I'm seeing are:

  1. Hey Siri is somewhat spotty. Like the phone isn't hearing me sometimes. Very random.
  2. When placing a call via Hey Siri in my car, the bluetooth connection between my iphone 11 and my scion xB, will connect/disconnect several times before the dialing sound starts. Once the dialing starts, it stays connected.

I recently updated my iPhone 8 Plus to the 11. The 8 plus worked great with Uconnect. With my iPhone 11 the music will not play it’s connected via usb in my 2014 charger. I tried via Bluetooth won’t work at all. I called Uconnect the rep said they are aware of the issue and trying to resolve it. That was month ago. Still won’t work. I followed trouble shooting hints removed reinstalled/paired it a few times still nothing. It’s annoying to say the least that Uconnect and apple cant come up with a solution. It’s very frustrating. If this continues I will not get a new IPhone.

My last conversation with Mopar and uConnect was that they only officially supported iPhones up through 8. Their latest update that I did a few months ago didn't change anything. My iPhone XS worked flawlessly, I didn't have problems until I upgraded to the iPhone 11 Pro. I didn't try the iPhone XS after upgrading it to iOS 13 so I can't speak to it being just an iOS issue.

That is more or less exacty the same issues that I am seeing in my Jag.

  • Phone Connects and seems ok.
  • When it rings I try and answer the call but I can only hear sound through the phone.
  • Jaguar infortainment system then freezes until I turn off the bluetooth on the phone but the call is still active.
  • I then need to pair the phone with the car again.

It's definetly a phone issue, I just wish Apple would own the problem.

William, I experienced this problem with my iPhone 11 almost a year ago. It cost me thousand of dollars in lost business. After many unsuccessful attempts to rectify it I did exactly what you just recommended. I took it back and got an iPhone x. It works flawlessly. But at the time you mocked me for going backwards in technology. Nice touch. I know, you've never experienced a problem with your phone. But most here have. And your replies are adding nothing to the solution.

I originally posted this bluetooth connectivity issue back in April. The listing of similar complaints is over 160 pages long!

Everyone is complaining about the i-phone 11 pro. This has been a massive problem with only this model phone. How can we get all our complaints to Apple. I feel we all deserve to get a full monetary credit towards the next i-phone when it becomes available. All older model i-phones work perfectly, it's only this model. Come on Apple, where is your customer service to all of us who are completely frustrated with this serious defect! Every ios up-date since April has not fixed this issue. Apple, please take care of us!

the iPhone 11 Bluetooth is junk. No update will fix. It will still switch Bluetooth devices randomly which renders the hands free not only useless but dangerous. It is a issue Apple is very aware of and you will spend mucho time, stress, data, and finally it looks like fuel trying to find a apple store to take it to get looked at. Apple should be ashamed to put a product like the iPhone11 out

I am now on iOS 14.3 but my iPhone 11 will not Bluetooth to my UE Boom speaker, all my families other apple products connect faultlessly to it including an old iPhone 4, a 6, a 7 Plus, a mini iPad and an iPad air2 , it’s just the 11 that constantly breaks up. I have just purchased a HomePod mini which uses airplay rather than Bluetooth and I can finally play music off my iPhone 11. It’s a shame that apple have failed to resolve this problem with the 11 that has forced me to spend another £99 in order to stream my music.

iPhone 12 doing it too. I recently switched from a Galaxy s10 to the iPhone 12 Pro. I use a plantronics headset that has worked fine for years. But now with the iPhone, when I get into my car with Uconnect the plantronics headset disconnects and reconnects about every minute or two. So I basically lose my conversation for a few seconds all the time. If I unpair from the car then it seems to be OK. But for some reason the iPhone can't seem to manage the 2 connections. On my Galaxy I used this setup every day with no problems ever. Quite disappointed. And missing my Android phone about now.
