iPhone 11 on iOS 13 having Bluetooth connectivity issues

New iPhone 11 on iOS 13 is having Bluetooth connectivity issues.

both my daughter and I are having the similar issues.

daughters phone is an 11 64GB Purple.

mine is an 11 128GB White

Hers gets connected to her 2018 Toyota C-HR and constantly drops out. Her iPhone 7 Plus never had any issues.

I have mine connected to a Boss BT module on my motorcycle. Never had any issues with my iPhone X.

neither of our other phones we’re running iOS 13.

I updated to 13.1.2 It looks like "MOST" of my issues have been fixed with this latest update. My 2012 Scion xB stock stereo is now not dropping or getting garbled calls. My iFrogz headphones are now staying connected when paused in Pandora.

The only remaining bug(s) I'm seeing are:

  1. Hey Siri is somewhat spotty. Like the phone isn't hearing me sometimes. Very random.
  2. When placing a call via Hey Siri in my car, the bluetooth connection between my iphone 11 and my scion xB, will connect/disconnect several times before the dialing sound starts. Once the dialing starts, it stays connected.

Replaced my iPhone 7 Plus (4 years old) with an iPhone 11 Max, and have IOS13.3 installed. My 7 Plus worked flawlessly with all of my various Bluetooth devices (Bose noise canceling headsets, Bose external speakers in my house, three of my vehicles AND my hearing aids but the iPhone 11 Max will not work via Bluetooth with any of the above. I did get a notice in the 11 Max that it connected with my iMac but I desperately need the Max to work with my hearing aids due to having a condition called "hyperacusis".

I've been online looking at various fixes for the iPhone 11, but none of the "fixes" have corrected this problem of connecting to the devices I have easily and successfully been able to use with my 7 Plus. I've done resets, powered off all my devices and even went as far as removing the SIM card from the 11, reinstalling the SIM and that fails to work.

It is a 400 mile round-trip drive for me to the nearest Apple store and I'm hoping someone has a link to a "fix" for this issue.

I went back to the AT&T store where I bought the 11 (yesterday) and they were not able to get the 11 to connect either.

I replaced my flawless iPhone 7 Plus with an iPhone 11 Max (running 13.1) earlier this weekend I'm also not able to connect with any of my Bluetooth devices. I've read all the suggestions here and elsewhere, even went as far as removing the SIM card but still not able to connect with any of my Bluetooth devices. The AT&T store where I purchased my 11wasn't able to get it to Bluetooth either and it is a 400 mile round trip drive to the nearest Apple store if I wanted to make an appointment at the Genius Bar.

Any other fixes out there? I really don't want to drive 400 miles to make the 11 work as I need it.

I am having an issue as well. All of my contacts will not come through. It only has sporadic ones and only goes up to the letter T. I have tried a bluetooth reset and removal of the device. It will work briefly after the reset. Then, when I turn the car off, it does it all over again when I restart the car. I also have an issue with bluetooth kicking out too. I never had this issue with bluetooth until I got the iPhone 11. Apple told me to contact BMW but my software is up to date.

I'm still having the same problems I mentioned earlier in this thread. Nothing will fix these problems. I've had to disable BT for my car. It's the only way I can get calls through. But... this problem needs to get acknowledged and fixed by Apple or I need to be able to get some type of replacement at some point if it's just a certain batch of chips or something causing this.

I would have stuck to my iPhoneX which was working perfectly if I had known that I'd be having these issues.

That sounds like the correct resolution.

I wonder if anyone has experience with the vehicles in question and Androids with an enabled BT 5.0 profile running Android Oreo or Pie, and/or if there are difficulties pairing with said BT 5.0 devices.

When past major iOS releases have occurred, with commensurate updates to newer BT profiles, there have also been several issues:

  • If an issue is determined to be Apple's bug, Apple will fix the issue.
  • If an issue is determined to be a head end manufacturer's issue, they will need to fix the issue.

It isn’t your car. Apple told me “the reports on the forum could be a coincidence”.

I was quite shocked a company like Apple would even suggest coincidence and try and fob people off.

Apple’s credibility is rapidly going out of the window. For me, the error is bad enough but lies will certainly make me want to try out Android the next time my Upgrade is due.

I too am having bluetooth connectivity issues. Wife and I both have 11's; mine is 128 GB, hers 64GB. We backed up our 6's to the 11 with no issues. Neither of our 6's had bluetooth issues with apple and non apple devices before the switch.

Hers won't connect to her iwatch 4. She had no issues with her iphone 6.

Mine does connect to my iWatch 3, but won't hold connections to other non apple devices which previously worked.

My phone will not even recognize my Bose Soundlink speaker.

We are both running the latest software version (IOS 13.1.1)

Apple; if you're listening please fix this.
