cancel membership for an app for a phone i don't own anymore

HOW DO I CANCEL MEMBERSHIP ON AN APP FOR AN IPHONE I NO LONGER HAVE? THAT PHONE IS BROKE AND NO LONGER HAS SERVICE.

Subscriptions / Memberships, are not tied to a particular device, and are not related to the device having service.

The subscriptions are tied to the Apple ID, and will continue to be valid until cancelled.

You can follow the steps in the following support document to cancel any Subscriptions tied to the Apple ID that was logged in to that old iPhone: View, change, or cancel your subscriptions - Apple Support

You can do so from another iPhone, iPad , iPod touch, or Computer (Mac Or PC) running iTunes that is logged in to that Apple ID.
