Can Apple do trade-in for refurbished item purchase?

Hello,

(sorry I couldn't find a right topic, I think...)

I'm wondering if Apple can do trade-in to purchase refurbished item.

For new item purchase, I can see the "Add a trade-in" section just above "Continue" blue button.

But I don't see the trade-in section for refurbished items purchase.

Trade-in is eligible for new and non-refurbished items only?
