Using external microphone with iPad Pro 2019

I am thinking of purchasing couple of new iPad Pros to be used as video recording devices for a community run media team.

I have been researching for a while now and I am unable to find any suitable information if I can use external microphones such as Rode Video Pro mic or Sennheiser GW300 radio mic with the new iPad.

Will it recognise the external device and what would be the best way of connecting it, what adapter/s would work? Thank you for your help.
