I am trying to by an New MacBook Air and would like to know via the Apple site how much my MacBook Pro is worth as a trade in for a new MacBook Air. but the Apple site will not recognise my serial # from the drop down at About this Mac, what to do now????
Look on the case bottom near the hinge and among the regulatory markings. You'll need a lens because the serial number is printer in a very tiny font size. See if that number coincides with the one from "About this Mac."
You can always take the computer to an Apple store.
