captured timecode does not match tape

I'm capturing HDV footage shot on mini-DV tape on a Sony HVRZ7U. They shot 108024p. The only odd thing in the shoot was they accidentally shot DF. Timecode on the tape seems fine. Using a 6pin to 9 pin firewire cable, capturing directly from the camera the footage was shot on. The timecode in the capture window is just running from 00:00 like control track. And that is the timecode being captured. It has no relation to the timecode on the tape. I have tried switching to LTC in the Device Control Presets window. It didn't help. I've switched cables and relaunched the application. Is there anyway to get relatively accurate timecode in this setup? I used an identical setup for our other camera with no problem whatsoever.

Audio/Video settings are:
Capture Preset: HDV
Device Control: HDV Firewire Basic
Easy setup: HDV 1080p24 Firewire Basic
