Apple Arcade game not recognizing controller on Apple tv

My Apple TV is not recognizing a SteelSeries Nimbus controller when trying to Play Apple Arcade games, Oceanhorn 2. It is working with non apple arcade games, real racer, sky force etc.. The Apple TV recognizes the controller but when the game comes up it defaults to the apple controller. Any ideas?

I figured out the problem. It is not a software issue more of a human squirrel problem. Let me explain. I was trying to use both the game controller and the apple controller. Not at the same time but you cannot trade off one controller for the other. By default I believe the apple controller is the main controller. When I connect the controller and use the controller, hence trying not to grab the apple controller, the game works fine.
