Hey d0wnco1d,

My wife and I have both recently bought the iPhone 11 pro max and she ran into this issue. I just figured out how to fix it. Go into settings and scroll down and go into messages then go to send & receive and make sure it is only set to your phone number. If it is set to both phone number and email that will cause the messages to flicker.

Hope this was helpful! Have a nice day!

Hi d0wnco1d!

I understand that the text is flashing or flickering when you send using iMessage, and I'm happy to help. If you haven't already, please try restarting your iPhone:

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you're still having this issue, back up your iPhone before proceeding:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Once you have backed up, you can reinstall the iOS software using this link:

If you can’t update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issue is still present, try restoring the iPhone to factory settings and setting it up as a new iPhone:

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

If this issue is present after restoring to factory settings, you can contact Apple Support using this link:

Cheers!

I have noticed this as well. I’ve tried researching this issue on the web, but it doesn’t look like there’s a lot of info about it. I have restored my iPhone 11 pro max x3 and set up as a new iPhone each time and the issue still persisted. My wife has the regular iPhone 11 and hers does not have this issue, so I think this is related to the OLED screen, and may potentially be a software bug. Hope Apple will work it out eventually with an update, but I wouldn’t worry about it at this point, and don’t waste your time restoring your iPhone unless you have time and want to confirm my findings.
