Via the App Store, iMovie requires your Mac to be running macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 though.

I don't think you can get Instagram for Macs but you can get it for your phone or iPad etc,

If you are going to upgrade make sure you are ready.
Before upgrading make a full back up of your Mac.
Check that third party apps you use have updates available for the new OS.
Check that your printers/ scanners etc have updated drivers and software available for the new OS.
