iTune 12.10.0.7 no longer sync with Outlook

I used to sync iPhone contacts, calendars and Safari books with Microsoft Outlook without problem until this week, when I upgrade to iOS 11 and iTune 12.10.0.7.

When sync process starts, it goes through:

Waiting for sync to start

Preparing to sync

Copying diagnostic information

Syncing contacts

Syncing calendars

Syncing bookmarks

Reading photos from "Pictures"

...

HOWEVER, the calendar and contact on the iPhone do not really sync with Outlook. The interesting part is Safari bookmarks do sync to Internet Explorer.

This is the system I have:

iOS 13.1 on iPhone 7.

iTunes 12.10.0.7 in Windows 10 build 1903.

Microsoft Outlook 2013 (15.0.5172.1000) 64-bit.

All this happened after I upgraded to iOS 13.0 and iTune 12.10.0.7. I suspect it is an iTune problem but cannot be sure.

Any suggestion?

Am having the same issue. Have been through everything and on support with Apple for three days. I had a drive backup from before updated and tested it with the old 12.9 version and everything was fine. I have not updated to the new iOS as Apple wanted me to and I am not trusting it yet and was thinking maybe the new 12.10 iTunes worked with outlook to sync contacts and calendar but looks like it doesn’t. I’m going to tell Apple my findings now especially with others experiencing this.

So I'm giving it another try this Saturday 10/5 morning to check if Contact entries on my iPhone will populate in MS Outlook 2016 after sync with iTunes 12.10.0.7. Recent update to iOS 13.1.2 this week. Current version Windows 10 1903 (OS Build 18362.388). I did two things: 1.) I edit one entry in MSO2016 and I created a contact in iPhone. Did a Sync and ONLY the edit in MSO2016 went to iPhone but not vice-versa. I still cannot create a contact in iPhone and it will transfer into my MSO2016. This is definitely an issue IN iTunes 12.10.0.7 because it was working perfectly in 12.9.6.3. -- As a matter of fact, WHY did Apple force me to update to iTunes 12.10.0.7? Because when I tried to do a restore on an iPhone with 13.1.1 at the time, I got a popup in iTunes that said You must have the latest iTunes 12.10.0.7.

@AppleSupport Recently installed iTunes

12.10 due to support for iOS 13.1____ And now CONTACTS do not sync either way.

PC to iPhone or vice versa. Music does sync. What happened now?!

@AppleSupport replying

We’d love to help out with this. Can you check if this setting is enabled or not?

Settings > your name > iCloud > Contacts. Let us know via DM and we’ll move forward

from there.

It's been over three hours. Are they working on the issue or, are they ignoring me?

It's Apple....whaddaya think.

iCloud Contacts is not turned on. Do you understand I want to sync MS Outlook Contacts on my PC

with my iPhone like I have for years. What does iCloud have to do with it?

It was working on the previous iTunes.

I spent 3 hours with Apple last night. I was able to close the contacts every time but it would say it sync'd the calendars and did not sync them. Strange thing is when we reset the history it would just hang on the calendars. This was using my olver 12.9.6.3 version on a backup drive. I only had an earlier version to install. While i could get that to work perhaps it was hanging in different areas so that was not the answer. They wanted a new profile which i started but it takes about 1 hour to do a fresh backup at minimum. I dont think its the profile i think something in this new version is impacting at least certain situations of where you sync contacts and or calendars. I was able to successfully sync the contacts many many times but not the calendars. It would say it synchronized but nothing was updated either way. I did notice Microsoft just put an Outlook 2010 patch out on 10/2 for outlook at thats the first i have seen a patch for outlook in a long time (Very long). I did this patch but no difference.

Very interesting. I am able to sync now with 12.10.0.7 ONLY after running my old backup drive of 12.9.6.3. The issues is it gets through with 12.9.6.3 and contacts update but Calendar runs through and makes no changes. When I reset the history it goes back to hanging on the updates and then i have to go back to the 12.9.6.3 to get it to run through but it still does not update the calendar even though it runs through the process. I am running Win 7 pro 64 bit with Outlook 2010. They made you update to 12.10.0.7 because as I read that is whats compatible with ios 13. I have not upgraded to ios 13 because of all the issues with this upgrade and have been burned before. Please keep us posted. Its so frustrating i cannot update my calendar.

I had this as well. I tested the same way you did. It seems like it was not taking my iPhone to outlook one as well. It did seem to work a few times. What I did notice is if I reset history then my sync just hung. Maybe give that a try. I still think there is a real problem with 12.10.0.7. I’ve been playing all day. Still can’t get outlook to update either way. It runs and syncs and no changes. I do think it took an entry off my gmail calendar which I don’t use much but not the outlook one. I would love to delete the calendar on my phone and try to sync but I can’t lose all the appointments right now. I’ll keep posting as more comes available. Microsoft had some major updates I did last Friday. Not sure if those are interfering perhaps but have not before.
