iOS 13 - Audio Messages

Are you currently updated to the latest version of the iOS software? If not, I recommend updating the iOS version as it helps provide software improvements and enhanced security updates on your device. Here's a helpful article with the proper steps: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Once the update is complete, in the Messages app you'll see a progress bar at the bottom of Messages. This indicates that photos or the attachments such as audio messages are being indexed. This is expected behavior as it might take some time for the index to complete.

Then you can select the contact from the Messages app > tap on "i" for info > scroll down to "Attachments" and locate your audio messages.

I made a phone call to Apple support and described the issue. I explained that the info button that you used to look at to see them does not show them now and currently shows Photos, links, locations and attachments. The attachments are not the voice memos sent back and forth in the texting app but are now instead the actual "voice memos" or recordings you make with your phone. He had no idea as to why you can still save them individually or forever in settings yet have to scroll back through so much text to find them as opposed to them being saved somewhere all together. He did not know if the feature was gone forever or if was an oversight. Perhaps if enough people as we will see the feature brought back or get some further clarification.

The ones you are describing are attachments. The ones we are asking about are the ones you send a receive a voice message in the app and allowed them to never expire as opposed to disappearing after a few minutes. Where are they now? They are not there. The only ones I have now are done from the recorder app and added as attachments. I want the ones I had saved and could previously access under info. Lots of personal and important voice memos.

I am having the same issue. i can't access the audio file under the contacts information tab. since the new IOS update.
