Flash drive adapters

Hey! So I have an iPad Air. I have a ScanDisk Cruzer Glide flash drive with wedding pictures on it. I bought an adapter for my ipad, but when I plug it into my ipad with the flask drive in it, an bubble comes up saying that the device is not going to work because it needs more power. So I need to know what kind of adapter will work so I can use the flash drive with my ipad to get my pictures.
