Desktop safari browsing

I have an iPad 6th Generation running iPadOS 13.1. I have been on Safari and noticed that on most browsers if I have not otherwise changed it, I have the option through the AA symbol left of the URL to change the browser to desktop mode. I thought it should automatically have it on the desktop version, however I cannot remember if I have accidentally changed a setting or not. Is there a way to automatically have Safari pages on the desktop version?

Hello, APerson1,

With the new iPadOS, Safari should automatically present the desktop version with the option of changing to mobile version as seen here:

Desktop websites

"Safari automatically presents a website’s desktop version for iPad."

You can change this setting in Settings > Safari Request Desktop Website > enable or disable All Websites.
