Trouble making an in game purchase

I have 15.00 on my Apple ID but when I try to make a purchase on Dissida final fantasy opera omnia it says to add a payment method but isn’t an I tunes gift card a payment method?

It is, but you need a credit card on file in case the purchase price is more than your account balance.
