Why is this red X appearing on our iPhone?

When you go to settings>general>profiles - what is listed there?

I don’t have a ‘profiles’ under settings.
Is it always there or does it go away?
It has just happened that one time. My daughter thinks her phone has been hacked.
Unless it is jailbroken it is not hacked. there has to be another reason for it.
