Flashing blue bar when trying to hotspot to computer

Have read in various threads this is to do with having spaces or special characters in the iPhone's name. Just wanted to share that I had the same experience but WITHOUT any spaces or special characters in the iPhone's name.

Had always previously used phone hotspot with my Windows 10 computer. Then it just suddenly started the flashing blue bar and wouldn't connect. No spaces or special characters in my phone's name.

However, I simply changed the name of my phone to another name (still with no spaces or specials characters) and abracadabra - it works again! Strange but true. My original phone name was 3 letters and a number and so is the new name. But all back on the air so thought I would share.
