I've had this problem for more than a month, ever since an upgrade. I've tried all suggestions on this support site, nothing helps. My iPhone had an update yesterday to 13.1.1, but no updates for my watch (series 4).
My wife and I are both blind and use the VoiceOver screen reader on all our devices. My wife had the current updates for the iPhone and WatchOS and one thing I noticed was that the VoiceOver voice recently changed to an English voice and Minnie Mouse stopped talking after the most recent WatchOS update. After trying many things, I decided to check the language setting under General > Language and Region. We are in Canada, and while the Region was okay since it was set to Canada and the iPhone Language was okay set for English Canada, I decided to try setting the iPhone Language to English U.S.. Well, lo and behold the VoiceOver voice changed back to the proper accent-free, that is, American English lady my wife had always enjoyed, and Minnie Mouse came back speaking as always. I hope this helps.
Finally it works, has to let it charging (roughly 10 min) before it can work. Now it sounds after I tap on the Mickey face. Thanks folk!
It seems to be a bug in watchOS 6. Wait for an update and that will (hopefully) fix it.
Same problem here. I even tried repairing the watch as old threads suggested -- doesn't work.
Fix this bug please.
Agree. If anyone finds a fix for Mickey, who has suddenly stopped using his voice, please post the solution!
I just updated to WatchOS 6.0.1 but this issue is ironically NOT fixed for me. Still no sound, despite the lack of silent mode.
I had the same problem, until I let the watch charge and still connect to the phone. It finally, work. Try if that works.
Since the latest update, the bug was fixed and Mickey speaks! :)
