Apple Tv 4k flashing white dots all over screen and white bar causing hang ups

Every so often (usually at least once a day), my apple TV 4k (ATV from now on) will have little white dots flashing in random places all over the screen, and then the bottom half of the screen flashes white, and the ATV hangs up in that time, freezing and sometimes even crashing. I then restart the ATV and the issue is resolved, until the white dots re-appear at some point later and I have to repeat this process at least once a day maybe more.
