Safari and Mail slowdowns

My iPad Air 2 Safari really slowed down to a crawl when I updated to 13.1. Responses to “presses” lag for several seconds after Input commands. Mail also has issues downloading e-mails promptly and seems to take forever for the e-mail to show up. I thought this would be resolved with 13.1.1 once I updated but it hasn’t improved much. Any thoughts?

You may need to do a complete erase and restore of your iPad Air 2.

If you can, you need to start by backing up your iPad to either Apple's iCloud and/or by connecting your iDevice to a computer running the latest iTunes and/or some other offsite, “cloud” data storage/backup services, like Google Drive/Photos, DropBox, BOX, Amazon Cloud Drive, Flickr ( for photos/images ), etc.

Then, in iPad's Settings App, under General, Reset, Erase ALL Contents and Settings to completely wipe your iPad.

Once this is done, you are going to setup your iPad as a new iPad.

Once you have finished setting up your iPad as new, then you can restore your iPad from the iPad data backup you just created in iCloud and/or iTunes

All of this should cure all or most of your iPad issues.
