Hey, just bought the Apple USB-C to USB Adapter to use it with my hard drive disk. The iPad recognizes other flash drives, but when I connect my HDD doesn’t appear in the files section and neither a message that its not compatible or something.

You might need an adapter that also allows you to plug in the USB C connection for additional power, like this one: https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MUF82AM/A/usb-c-digital-av-multiport-adapter?fnode=85
I am not 100% sure on this so hopefully someone else can help. You can probably also ask at an Apple store.
