Hi dollcole,

Thanks for posting. I understand you may need help with a recovery key for two-step verification, and I have a resource that may help If you can't sign in with two-step verification using your Apple ID.

"If you lost your Recovery Key

As long as you remember your Apple ID password and still have access to one of your trusted devices, you can sign in and create a new Recovery Key.

  1. Go to your Apple ID account page.
  2. Sign in with your password and trusted device.
  3. In the Security section, click Edit > Replace Lost Key.

Keep your new Recovery Key in a safe place. Your old Recovery Key won't work anymore and you can't use it to reset your password or access your account."

I hope this helps. Take care.

Hi Matthew.S81,

Thanks for the reply. Are you saying you don't see the "Replace Lost Key" option when you sign in to the Apple ID website as shown above? Are you using two-step verification for your Apple ID still, or have you made a change to your account settings since you last used the iPod in question? If you have, this might be useful: Generate a recovery key after you update to two-factor authentication

Kind regards.
