Apple lightning adapter My adapter stopped working today. out of nowhere and i dont know what to do it does not work any more and the problem is NOT the headphones. this adpater is LESS than two years in use and already broken. and you pay 10 EUROS for a new one. what can i do to fix mine because i am not buying a new one. They are way to expansive and if they keep breaking down after two years not worth the price in my opinion. if anyone knows what to do please tell me.

Lightning adapters keep failing I have an iPhone XS Max and use a lightning adapter to connect my headphones. I’ve recently had my fourth lightning adapter fail on me. The first 2 were official Apple ones, the last 2 were third party. In all instances the behaviour is the same - suddenly the music will stop coming through the headphones and start coming through the iPhone loudspeaker. Some points of note: I have used a multitude of different headphones across the lifespan of these 4 adapters with the same results. The lightning port charges the phone without issue. The last 2 adapters failed within 2 weeks of each other. Originally when the first adapter failed i reported this to Apple and i managed to keep the case open for months. They physically cleaned the phone and wiped it, etc but refused to replace it. Has anyone else had a similar experience to this?

My lightning to 3.5mm adapter is not working I purchased an Apple adapter ligthning to 3.5mm jack from Apple in March 2021 and I am surprised it is not working anymore after just 6 months this September 2021. I haven't used it very much and it still looks as new but it is obviously defect as sounds does not come properly through anymore (see photo below) and I have tried with different working headphones. Obviously this Apple adapter and its cable is very thin but I am very surprised to find out it appears worn out so soon and after so little use. One may obviously expect such Apple accessories to last a minimum through time and use. I am wondering if I can get replacement from Apple and then how? The Apple support pages do not seem to cover accessories unfortunately. Any advice appreciated. Best regards,

Why are you buying cheap adapters that apparently don't have any kind of warranty?

Look into bluetooth earbuds. That will solve your problem, had the same issue with Apple's 3.5mm to Lightning Adapter.

Then why do you keep buying new ones? They have a warranty, unless you're physically destroying them.

You must be very rough with them.

I have the adapters that came with my phone from 2 years ago, I think it was 2 years.
