Hi CamryGuy,

You mentioned that you had updated to iOS 13. There have even a few updates and the latest version is iOS 13.1.2. (as of the writing of this message.) Check which iOS version you have by going to Settings > General > Software Update. If there is an update, create a backup following these steps: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. After the backup is complete, Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

With the iPhone running the latest version of iOS 13, follow the steps for which type of connection you use in your car:

If you connect using Bluetooth

By changing iOS versions, your car and iPhone may need to be reconnected so they can communicate again.

1 - Go to Settings > Bluetooth and unpair you iPhone from the car. The steps are listed under, "Unpair a Bluetooth accessory," in this article: Pair a third-party Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

2 - In the car stereo settings, remove your iPhone from the list of known devices (If you need instructions, check with the user manual as the steps vary with different vehicles).

3 - From Settings > Bluetooth, turn off the Bluetooth. Wait for 5 seconds, then turn it back on.

4 - Pair your iPhone and car stereo. You'll find the steps under, "Pair your device with a Bluetooth accessory," from the article above.

If you connect using a USB connection

1 - Check that your iPhone is unlocked and on the Home screen.

2 - Try connecting using a different cable, or USB port (some vehicles have more than one).

3 - If the car recognizes the iPhone, but isn’t playing music, test out using another app.

If you’re unable to connect through either method, be sure to check for any firmware updates for the stereo from your car manufacturer.

If all updates are installed, and it still will not connect, Contact Apple Support for more assistance

Cheers!
