Why does my phone suddenly say I and someone else is calling?

Yesterday, I noticed my iphone is suddenly saying (I) or someone else is calling.

For instance.

When my mother calls now, the name on the ID will be like “Mother or Zac calling”

Or when dialing it will say “(Name) or Zac iPhone.”

is there a way to correct this? Because I do not want my calls or messages going to their phone?

to my knowledge I haven’t changed anything or logged into an apple id. So it is weird to see it suddenly appear.

if anyone has advice, it’d be much appreciated.

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! It's my understanding that you are experiencing an unexpected behavior with your call suggestions. I can help.

I have a few questions to isolate the behavior further.

-Is this happening with multiple contacts, or only certain contacts?

-When you open the Contacts app, and navigate to the persons contact card, do you see any shared details in the contact card in comparison to your contact card?

-When you navigate to Settings > Phone > Siri & Search, do you have 'Show Siri Suggestions when Calling' turned on? If so, when you turn this off, does the same behavior continue?

-When you navigate to Settings > Contacts > Siri & Search, do you have 'Find Contacts in Other Apps' turned on? If so, I'd also like you to try turning this off to test for the same behaviors.

Sorry for the delay, thank you for the assistance.

To my knowledge the contact had never changed. It was just a name + phone number. The number is not similar to my own therefore I was confused as to why my name started showing up.

However, I deleted the contact.

Afterwards the phone started saying my name or "Maybe Zac."

Previously I had never known anything about the Siri & Search because I do not like using it. I think I turned it off on contacts, messages, phone calls, etc. However it continued to say "Maybe Zac."

Instead I put the former contact back into the phone and now it shows up correctly. I am unsure if this is temporary or not.
