How can I set up visual voicemail on my new iPhone 11 pro if the only option I get when I open voicemail is “call voicemail”. Verizon says this is an apple issue

I understand that you’d like to set up Visual Voicemail on your iPhone, and I'm happy to help.

Make sure that you are running the latest iOS update, which at the time of this writing is iOS 13.1.2:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Then make sure you check for and install any carrier updates:

Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad

Then check to make sure you can load a website in Safari on your iPhone.

I have installed every current updated from both Apple and Verizon. I don’t not have any options to set up visual voicemail. I do not get the “greeting” in the left upper corner nor do I get “edit” in the left upper corner. I current have a voicemail however I do not get notified of this voicemail nor does it populate on my phone. Verizon has told me this is an apple issue and that everything is working in their end.
