On my IPad McAfee says my 10.3.3 is out of date and needs updating but when I go to settings general it says I am up to date
iPads will not get viruses unless it is jailbroken. Apparently, you have 4th generation iPad, iOS 10.3.3 is the last update it will go to. Like previous post said, remove McAfee, it is useless.

Uninstall Mc Afee as per the developers instructions. There is no need for any anti-virus software on iOS.
Uninstall McAfee. It is worst then useless. It is actually dangerous.
It is safe without McAfee.
McAfee tells me about my internet connection and whether it is safe so that is why I have it
