Favorites icons are now huge

So last night I updated Safari to 13.0.1. I regularly use the "smart search bar" to get to my favorites/recents...the popup (or dropdown) menu fit all of my icons nicely. But now, the icons are massive and I actually have to scroll to get to what I want. (The icons are also huge when opening favorites/recents in its own browser window).

I've not been able to find a way to scale down the size of the icons. In the image below, the old icons used to be about the size of the Paycor, MacWorld, and LinkedIn icons.

Is there a way to reduce their size, because that would be very helpful.

This in a new, 'improved' feature of Safari 13. There isn't a way to scale the icons to be smaller.

If you want to, you can send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem or a suggestion for change. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem/suggested change solved sooner.
