Why can’t I instantly send photos from camera roll?

Recently bought the new iPhone 11 Pro Max and I the only way I can send pictures through text messages is if I go into my text app, why? With previous iPhone XS Max I would be able to go into my camera roll and just send them through there but now I don’t have the option. Same with my screenshots, I don’t get the option to send it via text, just email, snap, etc..
