IpadOS Widgets not showing on homescreen?

So I just recently got the Ipad Mini 5 a couple months back now. I downloaded the iPadOS beta as soon as it was made available, and have been sticking with it ever since. At first the widgets worked great, they stayed on my home screen and everything. I always updated too, but one day after a certain update (not sure what update) I noticed the widgets dont stay on the home screen at all. I dug through the settings to see if I accidentally disabled it somehow but theres no option to even put the widgets on the home screen anymore. I confirmed many times that I am indeed on iPadOS and as of now im on the iPadOS 13.2 public beta. Im still not getting the widgets to show on the homescreen. Is this something Apple removed from the iPad Mini only?
