Siri activates during movies

Siri randomly activates during movies, for example when watching movies on YouTube and Netflix. This happens without the sentence "Hey siri" being spoken.

What can be done against it?

This is on iPhone XR on iOS 13, 13.1 and 13.1.2

Hello jao8.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

If I'm understanding correctly, Siri has been randomly activating. I will be glad to assist.

I would suggest turning Siri off, then on, and restarting your iPhone to see if it helps. Please see below:

If Siri or "Hey Siri" isn't working

"On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > Siri & Search and turn Listen for "Hey Siri", and Press Home for Siri or Press Side Button for Siri1 are turned off then on.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Cheers.

Hi,

I had already chatted to one of the support engineers and they also suggested that I switch off siri, then turn it back on again and then reboot the phone.

This has worked, but not perfectly. By that I mean that now Siri picks up other video's, or other parts of the video and responds to that.

I had my phone set to English and Siri to Dutch and I changed that to both Dutch (and restarted), but that also didn't fixed it.

For example Siri activated here: https://youtu.be/vVsw5b9TDRQ?t=70

or here: https://youtu.be/MOPIjzzHhttps://youtu.be/MOPIjzzH1G8?t=1105

(on the words low level). But when I play the same video on my PC over my soundset, then it doesn't respond.

In this same video, it reacts to the spoken text around 19:38 ("as soon as i'm able to"), but Siri hears that as "suicide" and suggests me talking to a person. This was shortly fixed after the chat I had a couple days ago, but now it is broken again on the exact same timestamp. (please note: Siri and my phone are both set to Dutch at his point, and rebooted)

Shouldn't Siri be more intelligent and not listen to sound coming from my own device?
