Keep my htdocs folder backed up (sync single folder from Mac)

Hi - I think a similar question has been asked but I don't think it's possible,

I just want to keep a back-up version / synced version of my htdocs folder - where I make websites with PHP. It would be good if I could keep this folder constantly backed-up. Is it possible?

Of course if I 'drag' it into the iCloud it will move (?) the folder there.. and it won't be set up to run with MAMP (unless I go inside there and change something around?)

Does anybody have any suggestions please?
