iCloud Finder Icons

Hi,

I'm using iCloud Drive on my MacBook Pro and in Finder I'm seeing a little cloud icon with the word 'Downloaded' beside several files, while I'm seeing no icon or words beside other files.

The official Apple iCloud information says that seeing a cloud icon means that the file is not downloaded locally (but yet when I see the cloud icon it says 'Downloaded' beside it!), while the Apple site also seems to suggest that not seeing any cloud icon would indicate that the file has not yet been downloaded.

Does anyone have any clearer way of knowing when I can be sure that files/folders have been uploaded to iCloud and saved locally?

Thanks!

MacBook

See this article https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/mac-help/mchlp1774/10.14/mac/10.14

You can open finder > iCloud Drive > under documents you can see the files or else you can search with spotlight search or Siri https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/mac-help/mchlp2605/mac
