October 4 Release Date, Do People Misunderstand Apple?

People are talking about 4th October as the date Apple has revealed to roll out its major macOS Catalina 10.15. Is this misunderstanding of what apple has actually stated on its websites?

I certainly think so.

Apple says: "Apple Arcade coming to the Mac App Store in October.4". The 4 is SUPERSCRIPT which means it refers to a footnote numbered 4.

This is what footnote numbered states: "Apple Arcade and Apple TV+ require a subscription. Apple Arcade is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV and will be available on Mac this fall".

So I am of the view that Apple is not specific on any date in October to release the update. It is rather a misunderstanding of what Apple stated on its websites.

Apple never said that October the 4th would be the release date for Catalina, Apple released a Golden Master version of Catalina to Developer testers on October the 3rd, so it probably means at least another week.

The official line is sometime in October.
