I will be traveling to France this week and I thought of buying the iPhone 11 there, since it will still not be available in my country (Philippines) by the time I return. I also considered that I can avail of the 20% tax refund there so it would be much cheaper if I buy an iPhone in France.
Would there be any issue in buying an iPhone abroad, particularly in my case? Thanks!

Will you ever have an ability to travel to France or any other European country during the warranty period that is two years for the EU? Or maybe you have friends that travel a lot? If you do, they can take your iPhone and bring it to the EU for service.
The main issue is that you will have no warranty service for any problems. If you would need any warranty covered service, you would need to return to France for that work.
Purchase an unlocked version of an iPhone and there will be no problem with working with your carriers. But note that in case your new iPhone needs service, you have to bring it back to France or any other country of the EU. iPhone's warranty is regional and not worldwide.
Is the warranty worth the 180 USD price difference? I think the iPhone’s warranty lasts for one year only and it does not cover accidental damages, and I expect it to be a pretty solid device given its reputation so I might not need the warranty.
