You own an iPad Air 2 model.
Any iPad made before late 2015 cannot use any versions of the Apple Pencil.
All of these older iPad models lack the necessary hardware technologies needed to use the Apple Pencil.

You will need to seek out other third party smart Bluetooth stylus alternatives.
