Despite having turned off ‘Haptic on Successful Authentication’, which is the new feature in Accessibility in ‘Face ID & Attention’; I still feel a slight haptic when I unlock my phone. Is this a glitch or is Apple doing this on purpose? I’m on iOS 13.1.2 and really hoping this a glitch!

It's an issue with the haptic engine. I checked with Apple. Initially, they were almost certain it's software related but they've confirmed after further testing that it's the failure of the haptic engine.
They will now either replace the haptic engine itself, or the device.

Yea me 2, its really annoying! Guys, report it to apple if you haven’t yet so that it comes to their attention and they fix it. Its not that much of a big deal but still i wanna make sure its just a glitch and there’s nothing wrong with my device.
Same problem. In fact system haptics on my iPhone 11 Pro Max doesn’t turn off completely, if i turn it off, it just makes feedback lighter.
I’m having the same issue on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. I’ve switched all “haptic” functions and yet I still get haptic feedback when increasing and decreasing my volume, when I unlock my phone, when I swipe the home button and when I toggle on and off anything in my settings. Any idea how to solve this issue?
You read my mind and are probably even more observant than me. I face exactly the same issue. I even feel it if I slightly touch the browser screen on safari before long pressing. I thought I was the only one. How are you going to deal with this now?
Also experiencing this on my iphone 11 but it is a very slight, almost unnoticeable haptic feedback when using shortcuts. Also when tapping the send button when sending an sms or imessage. Face id also has this issue. I hope this is just a glitch. APPLE PLEASE FIX THIS 😢
What are you planning on doing now? Apple keeps telling me it’s software related but I’m not sure if that’s the case because it could also be hardware.
I’ve been constantly updating my apps and OS and yet the haptic issue isn’t going away. I can’t tell if it’s a hardware or software issue.
