What adapter or cable do I need to connect USB external HD to my iPads?

I have iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro 10.5 (2017) both running iPad OS. I know I can now hook USB drives and external drives (USB) to the lightning port. What cable or adapter do I need to purchase?
